Fuel cells for soldiers

NanoDynamics in Buffalo, N.Y., is developing fuel cells that use nanotechnology to help deliver power for a longer time and less weight and size than conventional fuel cells or batteries.

A 50-watt prototype fuel cell about the size of a loaf of bread is composed of 20% nanomaterials and can generate 3,000 watt-hours of electricity from 5 pounds of propane. .
